Privacy Policy

Short version

We don't ask you to create an account, we don't save your birth date on our servers, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your birth details

The free reading is calculated in your browser. Your name never leaves your device.

When you open the full report, your birth date, birth time (if given), time zone offset, language and license key are sent to our server so it can check the key and write the report. We use them only for that request and don't store them.

Stored on your device

Your browser keeps your last birth details, your language and your license key (localStorage) so you don't have to type them again. You can delete them any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Payments

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. They collect your email, payment and billing details under their own privacy policy. We receive order information (such as your email and order details) from Lemon Squeezy to deliver and support your purchase. We never see your full card number.

Hosting and fonts

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the fonts load.

Videos

Some K-drama guides show an official YouTube video. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; then the video plays from youtube-nocookie.com under Google's privacy policy.

Face reading

The face reading runs entirely in your browser. Your photo is never uploaded or stored. The face-landmark model is downloaded from Google's servers (MediaPipe) to your device. To show the paid face reading, only a few anonymous proportions (numbers such as face width-to-height ratio) and your license key are sent to our server, and they are not stored.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we have about you, or ask us to delete your order data, through the Lemon Squeezy order portal (https://app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders) or by replying to your receipt email. Because we don't keep birth details, there is usually nothing else to delete.

Children

K-Fate is not directed at children under 16, and purchases should be made by adults.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page. The date below shows the latest version.
