Born in 1943: the Water Goat (癸未) in Korean Saju
1943 is a Water Goat year — 癸未 in the 60-year cycle.
Goats are kind, artistic and sensitive. They create peace around them and need a gentle environment to shine.
Water years shape people who flow — intuitive, adaptable and deep thinkers.
In Korean Saju the year starts at Ipchun (입춘), not on January 1. In 1943 Ipchun fell on February 5, 1943, 01:33 (Korea time, 16:33 UTC). Born before that? Your animal is the the Horse.
- Sound element (納音)
- Willow Wood — graceful, flexible and charming
In 2026 people born in 1943 turn 83.
Goat in 2026
Your animal and this year's animal are a secret-friend pair. Help comes quietly — a contact, a partner, an easy deal. Good for relationships.
Samjae alert: this is your middle 'three calamities' year (눌삼재), traditionally the heaviest. Koreans keep plans simple, avoid big risks and look after their health.
Goat in 2027
It is your own animal's year. In Korea this is a year to stay humble and steady — big energy, but also more mood swings. Good for renewing yourself.
Samjae: this is your last 'three calamities' year (날삼재) — the cycle is ending. Finish things, let go of what didn't work, and get ready for a lighter year.
