Born in 1953: the Water Snake (癸巳) in Korean Saju
1953 is a Water Snake year — 癸巳 in the 60-year cycle.
Snakes are wise, calm and intuitive. They think before they speak and see through people quickly.
Water years shape people who flow — intuitive, adaptable and deep thinkers.
In Korean Saju the year starts at Ipchun (입춘), not on January 1. In 1953 Ipchun fell on February 4, 1953, 11:39 (Korea time, 02:39 UTC). Born before that? Your animal is the the Dragon.
- Sound element (納音)
- Long-Flowing Water — steady, long-term and far-reaching
In 2026 people born in 1953 turn 73.
