Born in 1980: the Metal Monkey (庚申) in Korean Saju
1980 is a Metal Monkey year — 庚申 in the 60-year cycle.
Monkeys are clever, funny and inventive. They solve problems fast and get bored with routine.
Metal years shape people with backbone — principled, determined and precise.
In Korean Saju the year starts at Ipchun (입춘), not on January 1. In 1980 Ipchun fell on February 5, 1980, 01:04 (Korea time, 16:04 UTC). Born before that? Your animal is the the Goat.

In 2026 people born in 1980 turn 46.
