Born in 2016: the Fire Monkey (丙申) in Korean Saju
2016 is a Fire Monkey year — 丙申 in the 60-year cycle.
Monkeys are clever, funny and inventive. They solve problems fast and get bored with routine.
Fire years shape people who shine — passionate, expressive and quick to act.
In Korean Saju the year starts at Ipchun (입춘), not on January 1. In 2016 Ipchun fell on February 4, 2016, 18:43 (Korea time, 09:43 UTC). Born before that? Your animal is the the Goat.
- Sound element (納音)
- Fire at the Foot of the Mountain — a warm glow at sunset — gentle and romantic
In 2026 people born in 2016 turn 10.
