Born in 1997: the Fire Ox (丁丑) in Korean Saju
1997 is a Fire Ox year — 丁丑 in the 60-year cycle.
Oxen are patient, steady and hard-working. They don't rush, but they don't quit either. People trust them with important things.
Fire years shape people who shine — passionate, expressive and quick to act.
In Korean Saju the year starts at Ipchun (입춘), not on January 1. In 1997 Ipchun fell on February 4, 1997, 04:02 (Korea time, 19:02 UTC). Born before that? Your animal is the the Rat.
- Sound element (納音)
- Water in the Ravine — quiet, clear and persistent
In 2026 people born in 1997 turn 29.
